Drivestone are block paving specialists. There are so many different combinations to choose from. The range of laying patterns, colours, block type and edging will ensure we can achieve the style to perfectly compliment your home.
Gravel driveways are a popular choice for driveways and hard landscaped areas, and it's easy to see why. Often a cheaper option, it’s easy to lay, low maintenance and looks great, particularly in country settings and where it matches the stone colouring of your home. There is a huge choice of size, colour and texture, so it's also a flexible option. On the downside though, it can’t be used where there is much of a gradient. Occasional maintenance will be required to remove weeds and the top surface will eventually need relaying, particularly where cars are habitually parked, as the weight will cause the gravel to break down and compact.
When laid properly tarmac is a durable, reliable and smooth surface. For large areas tarmac is the most economical option, however this is not the case when only a small area is to be re-surfaced. Tarmac is relatively easy to repair, although patch repairs will be visible.
At Drivestone we create beautiful gardens, and the patio is an integral part. Similarly to driveways, there are many options to choose from. Paving slabs or flagstones are generally the most economical whilst block paving and natural stone such as Indian Sandstone create absolutely stunning patios.
Indian sandstone is rapidly growing in popularity. A cheaper alternative to the traditional Yorkshire stone it is very durable, every piece is unique and being a natural stone it will not weather like concrete alternatives. There is a wide variety of colours available, making it visually striking and the best choice for your patio.
